Focus on health drinks: Pepsico's new plans Featured

Health consciousness has increased among all sections of people. In order to grab the customers who have more health consciousness, Pepsico is planning to launch new drinks. "Health and wellness is the goal.

Recent trend is moving towards health related drinks. Hydration and functional drinks is our main focus. We will bring more products into the market in this category," Vipul Prakash, Vice President of Beverage category of Pepsico India told media. He stated functional drinks are those drinks which have vitamins and minerals.

 The company already started targeting the gaming community by launching a new product under Mountain Dew brand. "Game fuel is now in India after US.We launched a new product under Mountain Dew brand after 13 years of it's launch in India", Vipul added. Vipul also spoke about the new products in the coming days. "This year was a big one. 7UP Revive and Nimboo Masala Soda hit the nation wide market already. Game fuel also entered the market. We will try to establish these new products. Couple of new products are going to be launched towards end of this year or in the beginning of next year". 

 Game fuel 600 ml pet bottle and 250 ml can are tagged at Rs 35 and Rs 25 respectively. Smaller cans of 7UP, Mirinda, Mountain Dew will be launched in July.Smaller 150 ml are available for Pepsi and Diet pepsi , at present.
