Kerala: Has God's own country turning out to be a hub for terror related activities? Featured

Eight vigilance officers raided the house of a businessman in Kerala on August 19. The officers seized gold and other things worth Rs 13 lakh. But twist is that the eight officials were not the vigilance officials but sophisticated thieves.

After investigation,Kerala Police confirmed that the robbery was done to fund terror groups in India. Police arrested Abdul, the prime suspect. Abdul and his group targeted businessmen and gold merchants. Local media reports that Abdul has close links with Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Thadiyantavide Nazeer, who was caught in 2009. In the recent times, 20 people and an IS recruiter was arrested at the Delhi airport. Kerala got the title "God's won country" but the state is affected by the terror related activities. In the past, the terror related activities were concentrated in the northern states but there is an under current increase in the terror activities in southern states like Kerala. The reason might be it's close relations with West Asia, as said by one of the top officials of the NIA (National Intelligence Agency).
