All BJP MPs will be contribute Rs.10,000 to Chennai Floods

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Members of Parliament (MP) will be contribute Rs 10,000 towards Chennai flood relief. Union Minister, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday announced that each BJP MPs will each contribute to Chennai flood relief fund.

 Immediately after the announcement ‘All BJP MPs’ started trending on Twitter. While many tweeted in favor of the BJP MPs, others took a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who recently raised MLA’s salary by 400 per cent. Tweeples compared how while BJP MPs will donate money, AAP MLAs will be taking home a huge sum.In the recent Tamil Nadu floods, around 350 people lost their lives. About 17.64 people were rescue and 6605 were sheltered in relief camps in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa conducted aerial survey of the state. (Also Read- Chennai Rains: India loses Rs 20,103 Crore in Tamil Nadu disaster)National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF), Indian army, navy, airforce were involved in rescue operations of people stranded in the flood hit areas of Chennai and Tamil Nadu.Educational institutions were shut after rain water flooded the schools and colleges. Chennai ariport was shut till December 6 following water logging on the runway. The country lost an estimated amount of Rs 20,103 crore in Tamil Nadu disaster. Both centre and state government also sent financial help to the affected. Immediate relief of Rs 67.47 crore was disbursed among over 1.11 lakh.
