Alexander and Aristotle on India Featured

Alexander was the greatest ruler in the past. He once invaded India. He faced tough fight from Indian ruler Porus. According to the latest information by historians, Alexander consulted his master Aristotle before invading India.

But Aristotle did not like his idea of invading India. But Alexander some how convinced Aristotle and came to India as a challenge. Alexander asked Aristotle, what he should bring from India in his return.Aristotle asked him to bring five things from India. Earth (soil) from Bharath (India),Water from Ganges, Ramayana, Mahabharath writings and a master (Sannyasin). Alexander stood shocked after listening those words from Aristotle. Aristotle also explained the reason for this.

 Indian soil is very sacred as many great persons took birth on that holy land. Ganga water originates from Himalayas and is responsible for many crops to grow in many places across the country. Ramayana and Mahabharath writings add essence to life. They teach the ethics and morals of life. Indian masters are the best in the world. In India,Gurus are treated equally with a God. In this way, the greatness of India was explained to Alexander by Aristotle.
