The Victory Day celebrations in Russia once again showcased the mighty military power of the nation along with the Russian President Vladimir Putin mocking the west for their double standards.

 The president praised the Soviet Union for showering freedom to people of other nations and lashed at the objectionable double standards of the Western nations particularly the USA.Mr. Putin said the nation is ready to join hands with other countries to keep up the global peace.

 The President today chaired over the customary Victory Day military Parade at Red Square in Moscow. Amongst the many displayed weapons, warplanes used in Syria along with the latest Buk anti-aircraft missile won accolades.As part of the celebrations many fighters, helicopters and heavy bombers flew above Red Square. The Crimean port at Sevastopol also saw the Victory Day celebrations with 30 army vehicles and over 1,300 servicemen.
